He suggested to the Italian political class to cut down on public spending by binding the election reimbursement only to those citizens who express a valid vote. Currently political parties receive money also for those who leave blank ballot, produce a voided ballot paper or even decide not to go to the polls.

The solar charging carport by Giulio Barbieri will be the "Made in Italy" distinctive touch at the overseas exhibition. It will be the only carport present on the show floor as example of infrastructure capable to recharge electric vehicles and at the same time to supply a protective shelter.
Giulio Barbieri's business partner for the debut on the American market is the company RENEWSZ that has developed the electronic project of the solar recharge in collaboration with Eaton Corporation.

Giulio Barbieri and Simona Rinaldi went to Fribourg (Switzerland) for the ECOHOME exhibition, the fair trade dedicated to new environmentally friendly and long lasting building technologies to meet a major company operating in the photovoltaic branch.

Giulio Barbieri S.p.A. in collaboration with the Firm Sunergic S.A. has presented the new solar carport with mixed plant, that recharges electric vehicles and at the same time allows the production of clean energy to put back into electricity grid.

Our SELF ENERGY CARPORT will be installed at the RENAULT dealership on Geneva Lake as charging station for the new electric car TWIZY.

SunPower’s local partners will then install the complete system, including the carport structure, solar panels and inverters. The all-in-one solar carport system is built for durability and reliability to endure a variety of conditions, including wind and snow loads, and also protects cars from the sun.

From April 30th to May 11th 2012 : SALON DE LA MAISON in S. Denis (Réunion Island)
On that occasion Giulio Barbieri, together with its exclusive partner GB Reunion, will be presenting in world premiere POWER ISLAND a real and true photovoltaic "island", fully stand-alone and indipendent from the main power grid, by means of a proper container in combination to PV Carport able to "capture" the solar energy and stock it into the container by means of a special system of batteries and inverters. The container is able to store 56 kW to be used in several applications. Some example cases: electric black-out, auxiliary or replacement power feeding to the regular power consumption. POWER ISLAND can be used for domestic, public/civil application and might become a very effective solution in those special geographic areas where a regular power distribution is not guaranteed.

The 100% electric car is a reality now and it is named Nissan Leaf. The Japanese ecological saloon, already avalaible in the international market, resets not only its carbon emissions, but thanks to a global approach reduces the environmental impact of its entire production process. A further proof of its “green” features is the fact that has been manufactured with 95% recycled materials.

A unique cutting-edge concept needs to be supported by an elegant “eco-effective” infrastructure to charge cars with 100% renewable energies.
NISSAN has inaugurated in recent days in Sweden, a country always at forefront with regard to environmental protection, a "car-sharing" to hire its vehicles and to encourage no environmental impact mobility. To welcome NISSAN Leaf cars there was the solar carport Energy Parking by Giulio Barbieri, designed to charge the electric vehicles. It is the only structure worldwide completely made out of aluminum, that can be placed everywhere with no installation constraints, thanks to concrete loads. Television and local media have given wide coverage to this piece of news and our ev charging carport has been immortalised in one of the most popular squares in Helsinborg.

The research centre IET (Institute for Energy and Trasport) in Ispra (Varese – Italy) is a department created within the European Community, whose activity is mainly dedicated to research, development and testing of new solutions and applications in the field of green energy and of the analysis of causes and effects of climate change.
The President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, always follows and monitors personally the research activities conducted at the institute, as if emphasizing the importance and priority that the European Community attaches to issues related with the environmental protection.

The official visit of President Barroso will take place today, March 16th, 2012, at the IET centre in Ispra, where some projects concerning innovation and research in the renewable energy field will be presented.
Among the various solutions, proposed to the President after being selected by the institute leadership, President Barroso will have the chance to personally verify the extent of the innovation by Giulio Barbieri: “a stand-alone photovoltaic charging station for electric vehicles, which generates Clean Energy available at zero costs and zero kilometers”.
This definition has been provided directly by Giulio Barbieri, who personally supervised the final testing of the charging station in the presence of a manager of the Research Centre. It has been so appreciated that it might be an attractive slogan for the future. A future, that will be characterized by the importance of the storage of energy coming from renewable sources and immediately available for any practical use, also in emergency cases. Such a storage of clean energy might succeed to replace heat engine generators, which are highly polluting and expensive from the point of view of fuel consumption and of periodic maintenance.
The ev charger SELF-ENERGY, located in Ispra, has been made, at the express request of the research centre to recharge electric-bikes.

Business trip to Qatar

Giulio Barbieri and Simona Rizzardi have been recently to Doha (Qatar) to attend several meetings focused to establish a commercial partnership with motivated dealers able to distribute our products, creating an extensive sales network.

The recent business trip has been the second step and the continuation of our previous business trip to Qatar which has been a first approach to acquire closer knowledge of the local market. The commercial mission has been particularly exciting: we had the pleasure to meet several companies all belonging to the specific building and shades sector, mainly manufacturers of big steel constructions, therefore all of them were able to well understand the unique characteristics of our products.

Particular interest and attention has been given to our HOME PARKING: our newest carport, completely made of aluminium whose installation does not require any foundation, differently from similar car shades made of steel. Solar protection is a must in a country like Qatar, where in the hottest season the temperatures raises to over 50°.
All companies were able to understand the flexibility of applications offered by HOME PARKING which can't be considered merely as a carport.
Our commercial discussions have inspired new ideas, as company Giulio Barbieri is proud to affirm his capability to offer complete solutions rather than mere coverings.
A new application has been discussed and will be shortly developed: to create shade shelters at the bus stop to be 100% powered by renewable energy, with stand-anole PV plant.
