Self-Energy electric car charging station by Giulio Barbieri at the launch of the new electric Smart Fortwo, the environmentally friendly car by Mercedes-Benz.
On Saturday, the 9th of April 2011, Smart Fortwo "the ecologic car of the future" will be officially presented to the public. The event will take place in Casalecchio di Reno (Bologna) at StarEmilia - Mercedes Benz & Smart center - from 10.00 am. to 18.00 pm.
Self-Energy, the ev charging station realized by Giulio Barbieri, will welcome the new Smart Fortwo.
Self-Energy, the first solar evse in the world, consists of an aluminium structure complete with a standalone photovoltaic plant, designed to be quickly installed everywhere with no need for foundation works nor maintenance interventions. Furthermore Self-Energy is offering a wide high visual impact customisable marketing surface, realized with pvc covers, easy to be replaced, for an interesting return of investment. For its unique characteristics Self-Energy is particularly addressed to: public administrations, electric vehicles dealers or rental companies, etc.

In order to underline the possibility and convenience of "zero emission" driving, the biggest electric car tour ever realized, result of a joint-venture between Mercedes-Benz & Smart Fortwo, left Milan few months ago and is now approaching Bologna.
