Headquarters

After 15 years from the first canopy tent launched in the market, Giulio Barbieri S.p.A. realized a significant project, i.e. building a new glamorous and at the same time "outside the box" headquarters, breaking with the traditional concept of the factory placed in an urban-industrial context.

It is a 100 years ancient court farm, that extends over 90.000 sq.m.

The company total area covers a surface of 35.000 sq.m. including sales, factory, accounting and residential buildings.

Of particular architectural interest is the ancient barn, build on three levels and now used as marketing and sales offices. A conference room is located in the attic.

The farmhouse hosts accounting and shipping offices as well as a cosy restaurant, where guest visitors are received in a familiar atmosphere.

On the first floor there are two nice complete furnished flats in use as guest quarters.

A tower, already existing in the original structure of the farmhouse, in agreement with the neighbouring medieval Uccellino’s Tower, lodges the housekeepers.

Particular care was given to company internal circulation and to incoming and outcoming traffic. To this purpose the main road leading from Ferrara to Poggio Renatico was enlarged, so that entering and leaving the company are made easier even for heavy lorries.

Within the company all streets are one-way and the right direction is shown by green and red luminous LED lights.

The visitors parking area is located around an internal roundabout, close to offices. In the centre of the roundabout a 26 m. high “totem” stands, showing the company’s neon sign and being visible at great distance.
